
Balilihan officials meet senators in Manila to seek project funding. Municipal officials of Balilihan, led by Mayor Trisha V. Chatto and Vice Mayor Lorenzo Baliong Jr., attended the Philippines Councilors League (PCL) event and visited several senators in the Senate at Pasay City, Manila, on March 4, 2026. The delegation, which included Sangguniang Bayan Members, Engr. Golden Myra Bayocot, and Municipal Planning Development Coordinator Ms. Adeline Ibarra, sought assistance and funding support for the town’s priority projects. During their visit, they attended a Senate session where they met with Senator Imee Marcos, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, Senator Bam Aquino, Senator Bong Go, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Senator PiaCayetano, and Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri. Balilihan officials meet with DepEd officials to enhance Education Programs. The group, which included Ma’am Rosalina Villaneza, National Chief – Education Program Specialist from the Bureau of Learning Delivery, Teaching and Learning Division, Ma’am Fina Frias, Senior Education Specialist, and Atty. VeronRequejo, head of the ECCD Task Force and a close friend and classmate of Mayor Trisha at Ateneo Law School, observed sample classes at the Early Child Development Center (Daycare) and Kindergarten.
