Maribojoc Mayor Jonathan Rojas (standing, right) spearheaded the presentation of the Animal Bite component of the town’s Local Health Action Plan on March 12, 2026, as part of the Local Health Leadership and Governance Program (LHLGP) Cycle 5. The presentation, made alongside the District Medical Officer (DMO) and Municipal Health Officer, aims to strengthen the town’s health services and prepare facilities to handle animal bite cases, ultimately helping prevent rabies in the community. “This is a big step towards ensuring our facilities are ready to respond to animal bite cases promptly,” the mayor’s post reads.
