On April 27, 2026, in order to be truly responsive to the needs of the people and be compliant with guidelines of the DILG and DBM, Batuan SB decided to hold a hearing consultation about the proper prioritization of the Php 25 Million Local Govt Support Fund (LGSF) but passed forthwith a resolution for the release of Php 5 Million for rice allowance to every Batuananon household. This is in connection with the LGSF given by the national govt to local governments nationwide, wherein Batuan is given Php 30 Million with a directive from DILG Sec Remulla that Php 5 Million shall be for rice allowance. For the remaining Php 25 Million, in a session presided over by Vice Mayor Dodo M. Jumawid (inset, upper right corner), the SB decided to refer the matter to the Committee on Appropriation for 1st Reading and participative and consultative committee public hearing and consultation with the stakeholders, LFC, MPDC and MDC headed by Mayor Mawel Tumanda.
