The Sangguniang Bayan of Balilihan held its weekly session in the afternoon of May, 2026 to accommodate the three-day Annual Investment Planning Shop starting May 19, where all SB members are required to attend. During the session, the council passed on 1st Reading an ordinance “establishing an Antimicrobial stewardship program and regulating the sale, dispensing, and distribution of antimicrobial medications for the prevention, control and reduction of antimicrobial resistance in the municipality of Balilihan. The ordinance was authored by Balilihan Councilor Pureza Veloso-Chatto (foreground) in her capacity as Chair of the Committee on Health. The council also passed on 3rd reading and voted in the affirmative for two measures: Ordinance Institutionalizing KADIWA in Balilihan, authored by Councilor Abel Llorente, and Ordinance Authorizing Supplemental Budget No 2 for priority programs and projects of the LGU, authored by Councilor Edgar Asilo.
