The personnel of Sikatuna MPS, under the supervision of PLT Kimberly V. Cruz, chief of police (officer-in-charge), conducted a Community Engagement Activity and attended a coordination and planning meeting for the opening of Balay Silangan in the Municipality of Sikatuna. This important initiative, led by Mayor Justiniana “Jecjec” Ellorimo (upper left photo), shows the strong collaboration between the local government, police, and stakeholders in giving new hope and a second chance to individuals affected by illegal drugs. Balay Silangan will serve as a reformation and intervention center where drug personalities will be helped through proper guidance, discipline, and programs that will contribute to their positive transformation to become responsible and productive members of society. This effort is proof that through unity and compassionate leadership, it is possible to create a safer, more peaceful, and drug-free Sikatuna for the next generation. (Contributed photo)
