Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap has been named a regional qualifier for the 2026 Gawad Lingkod Bayan, the Civil Service Commission’s top honor for exemplary public service.
The CSC Regional Office VII announced her inclusion after the 2026 Search for Outstanding Government Workers regional screening.
The nod highlights Tagbilaran’s recent wins in digital governance, disaster resilience, public health, education, and local economic development. Yap credited the city workforce and partners, saying the recognition inspires continued excellence in people-centered service.
Regional qualifiers advance to the national level of evaluation, where they will compete with outstanding public servants from across the country.
“This recognition reflects the hard work and commitment of every member of the City Government of Tagbilaran. It inspires us to continue pursuing excellence and delivering responsive, people-centered public service,” she said.
