UB Hospitality and Tourism Management Students Complete Internship Program in Japan
A total of seven student interns from the University of Bohol College of Hospitality Management, Tourism, and Nutrition (CHMTN) have completed their internship program in various hospitality institutions in Japan.
On December 21, 2025, the Hospitality Management and Tourism Management students embarked on their 1,000-hour practicum training under the Students Internship Abroad Program (SIAP), deployed to Tokyu Hotels and Resorts Co., Ltd., Hotel Monterey Co., Ltd., and Hakuba Mominoki Hotel, all in Japan.
University of Bohol President Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol III welcomed the student interns of the College of Hospitality Management, Tourism and Nutrition (CHMTN) following the successful completion of their Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) in Japan, which ran from December 21, 2025, to June 5, 2026. The interns paid a courtesy visit to the President’s Office upon their return, where they were recognized for their dedication, hard work, and international training experience.
CHMTN Dean Jane Doren Bungabong disclosed that the student-interns have officially completed their on-the-job training abroad and returned to the university in time for their commencement exercises on June 5, 2026. Notably, this is the second batch of interns sent to Japan under the existing Memorandum of Understanding with separate foreign hotels.
The interns are: Anne Jaylou Espuelas, Christian Kurt Dionzon, Yushiko Ken, Kacie Darlo, Lexie Mae Cainglet, Alexandra Jean Valencia, Kyla Stephanie Castañeda, and Charles Ruffy Empleo. (Leo Armando B. Boncales)
