WEDDING CELEBRATION

Julius Anthony Simporios & Shaina Leezel Bandala start their journey of love, faith, and forever

Julius and Shaina

Some love stories are defined by timing, faith, and a promise and all these seem destined. The wedding of Julius Anthony Simporios and Shaina Leezel Bandala was exactly that — a celebration that began with a chance meeting in June 2012, grew into a meaningful courtship in 2021, became official on January 24, 2022, and was sealed with a romantic proposal on November 30, 2023.

The highly anticipated day unfolded with quiet elegance at the luxurious Mithi Resort & Spa. There, the radiant bride, Shaina—a stunning 27-year-old self-employed resident from Basak, Taloto District, Tagbilaran City, and the youngest daughter of Mrs. Margarita Bandala and the late Mr. Antonio Bandala—was transformed by the expert hands of Tfaith Gesite & Co. She walked into forever wearing a breathtaking bridal gown masterfully crafted by Aileen Pasagad, who also elegantly designed the attire for the wedding entourage.

Equally poised for the moment, the groom, Julius—a 27-year-old Electrical Engineer and Seafarer for Seagate Navigation Inc., and the youngest of four siblings of Mr. Simporiso Simporios and Mrs. Juliana Simporios from Basac, Loon, Bohol—waited with quiet anticipation. Shaina made her grand arrival at the church in style, riding a classic masterpiece from Bohol Vintage Cars.

At exactly 1:00 in the afternoon, the majestic doors of St. Joseph Cathedral opened to a deeply sacred and solemn ceremony. The sanctuary was beautifully adorned by Milag’s Floral Design and introduced to guests through elegant wedding invitations from Worthy Crafts. The holy matrimony was blessed by an esteemed Concelebration of Clergy led by Main Celebrant Rev. Msgr. Gerardo Saco Jr., alongside co-celebrants Rev. Msgr. Jeffrey Malanog, Rev. Msgr. Efren Bongay, Rev. Fr. Raul Ciño, Rev. Fr. Ruel Tumangday, Rev. Fr. Jofel Naraga, Rev. Fr. Bernadine Jade Dionne Balite, Rev. Fr. Herladin Laniba, Rev. Fr. Herbert Deluao, Rev. Fr. Martin Juan Legitimas, and Rev. Fr. Rene Ruiz. Church commentator Grace Amora guided the congregation with grace, while the Voces Luminis church choir lifted the moment with heavenly, soaring harmonies that made the exchange of vows profoundly emotional.

From the altar, the celebration continued at Metro Centre Hotel, which served as both the magnificent venue and the provider of a sumptuous dinner feast. The evening was brought to life by the spectacular production of lights, sounds, and a LED wall by Gerard Piezas. The reception was expertly hosted by the witty and charming emcee Raul Gatal, with high-energy live entertainment from the band Jam 403. The night reached a thrilling peak during the energetic after-party session led by dance instructor Ralph Klynn Solis, who kept everyone on their feet.

Guests were delighted by a delicious wedding cake from Lola Lilia’s, the mouthwatering cocktails and dessert station by Estrella’S Bakery, crispy Benie’s Lechon, iconic fries from Potato Corner, and crisp refreshments from Lemon Co. Every precious moment and candid smile was flawlessly preserved by Lumikula Diaries for the official photo and video coverage. Guests also enjoyed making interactive memories at the Pix Perfect Ph photo booth before taking home a signature scent from YuR Perfume as a special souvenir.
