The applause that night was for one company. But the story behind it belongs to an entire island.
At the 5th Sandugo Tourism and Tour Expo held in Bohol, RAMYER TRAVEL AND TOUR was named Top Seller — the highest honor given to the exhibitor with the biggest volume of sales during the 3-day event. For the team, the plaque was heavy not just in weight, but in meaning.
“Being recognized for the volume of sales in every Tourism and Travel Expo we participate in, is truly an honor and a privilege,” said Mary Rose Molina Edubas, General Manager, owner and operator of RAMYER TRAVEL and TOUR. “These awards are not just a reflection of our team’s dedication and hard work. They are also a testament to the unwavering trust of our valued clients and travel partners who believe in what we do,” she added.
Mary Rose Edubas also said that their company is built on trust, not just transactions. That trust, she said, was earned slowly.
Behind the award are months that most guests never see: late-night itinerary planning, product meetings, fam tours to new destinations in Bohol, training frontliners, and countless conversations with travelers who are no longer satisfied with just a vacation.
“They’re looking for an experience,” Edubas explained. “They want to feel the island. They want stories to bring home.”
And Bohol keeps delivering. From sunrise paddleboarding in Anda to sunset river cruises in Loboc, from heritage walks in Baclayon to eco-adventures in the Bohol Geopark, the company has positioned itself as more than a booking office. It has become a storyteller for the island.
More than the plaque, RAMYER’s win reaffirms something the local tourism sector has believed for years: Bohol remains one of the country’s premier tourist destinations. It’s not difficult to understand why. The island offers a rare convergence of nature, history, and culture.
