More doctors and nurses have signed up to join the medical mission in Bohol in February 2027.
This was the update relayed by Architect Art Romanos, the president of the Tagbilaran Association of Northern California or TANOCAL.
According to Romanos, the growing list of volunteers now also includes nurses who have committed to serve during the medical mission in the province.
Romanos said he is overwhelmed by the support of the volunteers who are showing solid eagerness to the effort.
He expressed appreciation for the gesture of professionals who want to be part of the medical mission, noting that their willingness to give time and expertise reflects a strong sense of community service.
Romanos added that a separate mission is being arranged under a spill permission for the second district of Bohol to reach more residents who need medical assistance.
Several groups have already signified their support for the effort, including Lions Clubs that have pledged resources and manpower to help ensure the success of the outreach.
In addition to general medical services, organizers are also preparing a cataract mission where several cataract patients will be having surgery.
For this component, there will be eye surgeons who will be providing free surgery and even free lenses so patients will not have to shoulder the cost of treatment.
With the continued response from volunteers and partner organizations, TANOCAL is optimistic that the February 2027 medical mission in Bohol will be able to serve more families and bring essential health care to communities across the province.
