Balilihan Mayor Trisha Chatto (center), met on Aug. 17, 2026 with the DOST Food and Nutrition Research Institute for an assessment of the town’s nutrition program. She also had a brief meeting with Atty. Reynald Benjamin Chiu (left) and Atty. Jude Redulla (right) of the Public Attorney’s Office to discuss her request to PAO Chief Dr. Persida Acosta for a PAO District Office in Balilihan. During the Monthly School Board meeting, updates on the nutrition program and upcoming athletic meets were discussed. Project updates include the completed rehab of the municipal cemetery, ongoing rehab of the infirmary building with expansion of the pharmacy area, nurses stations, and waiting areas, and pending concerns on the playground. Edgar Chatto (front row, 3rd from left) attended an event in Boyog Sur on August 17, 2026. Boyog Sur, led by Barangay Captain Prudencio “boy” Jagunos, was recognized for its accomplishments including concreted road, 2-storey barangay hall, nice, well – lighted covered court with spacious stage, beautiful school buildings, functioning irrigation System, among others. The barangay was also cited for the active support of residents to various barangay and municipal programs. Gratitude was also extended to past barangay captains and officials. (Contributed photo)
