Buenavista LGU orders temporary closure of cemeteries from Oct. 28 to Nov. 4
The local government unit (LGU) of Buenavista orders the temporary closure of cemeteries and similar places from Oct. 29, 2020 to 11:59 p.m. of Nov. 4, 2020.
This is to prevent people from gathering in the said places as the nation observes All Souls’ Day.
In an package of information gathered by The Bohol Tribune from a source on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, it was learned that Buenavista, Mayor Dave Duallo issued Executive Order No. 17 ordering the temporary closure of all cemeteries and similar places inside the town from 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 29, 2020 to 11:59 p.m. of Nov. 4, 2020.
Interment scheduled on the said dates where there is a temporary closure of the cemeteries will be allowed subject to the approval of the private and public cemetery administrators.
Moreover, people who will be in the cemeteries for the interment shall abide by the minimum health standards imposed by the town government.
The town joins other LGU imposing closure of the cemeteries and other similar places to prevent mass gathering of people that may be a window that could lead to the spread of the SARS-Cov-2 virus – the one that causes the Coronavirus disease (Covid).
