Panglao tourism conducts consultative meeting with SB members and tourism stakeholders
The Panglao Municipal Tourism Office (PMTO) conducts a consultative meeting with the town’s tourism stakeholders and somemembers of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) following instructions from Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero in relation to the soon-to-be-crafted executive order of the town regarding the re-opening of the tourism industry here.
The consultative meeting, which took place on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, was held at the newly-refurbished old municipal building.

Mayor Montero consulted the stakeholders and some members of the SB of Panglao on their suggestions to be considered for her executive order that will soon govern the conduct of the tourism industry of the town.
Majority of the participants who attended the consultation suggested to customize the executive order to the unique needs of the tourism operations of Panglao, like the catering to the Frequent Independent Travelers (FIT) who travel alone or in small groups.
Currently, what is allowed by Executive Order No. 53 of the Provincial Government is the “Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions” (MICE), which caters to large groups.
However, this will change by Dec. 15, 2020 as the Provincial Government will already allow FIT and leisure travelers to visit Bohol.
