Bohol records new Coronavirus disease (Covid)- related death increasing the number of deaths due to the said disease to 17.
The latest fatality is recorded in Candijay town based on the report of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of the said town.
The 70-year-old person reportedly died on Dec. 27, 2020 at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) due to septic shock secondary to community acquired pneumonia (high risk), according to reports.
Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez confirmed the death of a Covid-positive person via a telephone interview on Thursday. Dec. 31, 2020.
According to reports about 19 persons were subjected to swab tests as they were touted to be close contacts of the said Covid-related fatality.
Reports added that contact tracing activities are being conducted.
