The chief of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) expresses his grief over the death of seven (7) personnel of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) who died in a helicopter crash.
PDRRMO chief Dr. Anthony Damalerio in a post on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, said that the members of Bohol-PAF Reservist Group send its prayers and families of those who perished in the helicopter crash last Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.
In the same post, Damalerio added a hashtag saying “was deployed in Bohol”.
The Bohol Tribune reached out to Damalerio to get additional information on his post’s hashtag but the calls were unreturned as of posting time.
Last Saturday, A UH-H1 helicopter of the PAF carrying 7 PAF personnel crashed in Impasug-ong town, Bukidnon province. The exact cause of the crash is still being determined, according to CNN Philippines’ report.
The same PAF statement said all of the Air Force’s assets undergo strict , regular and redundant maintenance inspections before and after missions .
Moreover, the PAF personnel reportedly were on a resupply mission for the Army’s 8th Infantry Battalion.
