The Department of Health (DOH) is set to donate a total of nine (9) units of ambulances to the Provincial Government of Bohol following the approval by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of two (2) resolutions authorizing Gov. Arthur Yap to accept the said donated ambulances, a report from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) says.
The SP approved during its regular session last Tuesday, June 8, 2021, two (2) resolutions authorizing the governor to sign a deal with the DOH and to accept the donated ambulances that will be stationed in various government hospitals and health care facilities in the province.
According to Vice Gov. Renr Relampagos, the ambulances will be allotted to the following: 2 ambulance units for the Provincial Health Office, 2 units for the Cong. Natalio Castillo Sr. Memorial Hospital in Loon, a unit for Carlos P. Garcia Municipal Hospital in Carlos P. Garcia town, a unit for the Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital in Talibon, a unit for the Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital in Jagna, another unit for the Candijay Community Hospital, and a unit for the Cong. Simeon G. Toribio Memorial Hospital in Carmen.
The said ambulances will be used to boost the health services for the Boholanos.
Meanwhile, one of the vital programs that the Yap-Relampagos administration has been pushing is the improvement of health care facilities here.
