The town of Anda celebrated on Mar. 12, 2022 its 147th Foundation Day, according to Mayor Metodio Amper.
Amper told The Bohol Tribune that the town lined up several activities to celebrate the event.
“Simple lang ang mga activities para sa foundation day,” he quipped.
Amper said key provincial officials were invited to the celebration including Gov. Arthur Yap and 1st District Rep. Edgar Chatto.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the awarding of barangay officials who worked tirelessly to help Anda survive the challenges posed by the pandemic and the recent onslaught of typhoon Odette.
“Kinahanglan atong pasidunggan ang mga barangay officials nga mitabang nato,” he told The Bohol Tribune.
Amper added that he also delivered the State of Municipality Address where he mentioned the key achievements and the plans of his administration for the town of Anda.
Meanwhile, Amper said that he met with key offficials of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Manila to help the town acquire a fire truck.
Anda, on Mar. 6, 2022, experienced fire after flames ate the town’s public market.
It was a fire truck from the neighboring town of Guindulman who had to respond to the incident because Anda’s fire truck is under repair, according to reports.
