“Ambulance” at Screenville Cinemas
From director Michael Bay (“Transformers” films) comes a hard-hitting action from start to finish about a bank heist gone awry, “Ambulance” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
Siblings Danny (Jake Gyllenhaal-“Brokeback Mountain”) and William (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II-“Aquaman”) turned bank robbers who steal an ambulance occupied by a paramedic and a police officer in critical condition.
It all started when war veteran William desperately needs $231,000 for his wife’s surgery, and reaches out to Danny, his adoptive brother and a life-long criminal, who talks him into taking part in a $32 million bank heist. The robbery goes wrong when they shoot an LAPD officer, and they are on the run in an ambulance with an EMT and the dying officer as their hostages.

“The Contractor” at Screenville Cinemas
A discharged US Army sergeant risks everything for his family as he saves the world from a biological warfare in the action-thriller, “The Contractor”, which will premiere on Wednesday, March 23, at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
Ex-Marine James Harper (Chris Pine-“Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit”) faces the unthinkable after being involuntary discharged from the US Army Special Forces. Without his military income, he joins a paramilitary organization to support his family. His best friend (Ben Foster) recruits him to serve in the unit under the command of a disillusioned veteran (Kiefer Sutherland).
As the team embarks on a covert mission abroad, Harper soon finds himself caught in the crossfire of long-standing animosity, and must evade those trying to kill him and find a way home by any means necessary.

As part of its 25th Anniversary, Plaza Marcela gives away thousands-worth of grocery packs and gift certificates to its valued customers through the on-going “Rewards Card” Raffle Promo which runs until April 18, this year.
Five (5) lucky customers will win grocery packs worth P10,000 each, while another ten (10) customers will also get Alturas gift certificates worth P5,000 each. The winners will be announced during the raffle draw on April 19, at 2 PM.
A customer can get one Rewards Card for a minimum single receipt purchase worth P2,000 from the Supermarket. Just present the receipt at the Consumer Welfare Desk and get the Rewards Card. The Card has six (6) empty slots, and each slot will earn a stamp for every required purchase. There’s one bonus stamp for every P300 purchase on participating products, and another bonus stamp if you are an A1 Card member.
Upon completion of the six (6) stamps, the customer will fill-up the Card with complete name, address, contact numbers, and signature; and drop it on the designated dropbox.
A customer can drop as many Cards as he/she can as long as the Card is complete with six (6) stamps. A Card with incomplete stamps is considered invalid.
ALTURAS RIVER CLEAN-UP. Employees and volunteers from Alay Marcela Foundation of the Alturas Group of Companies join the river clean-up activity. The clean-up event took place on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Abatan River which traverses the municipalities of Cortes and Maribojoc. The activity is part of the 25th year anniversary of the International Day of Action for Rivers. The Provincial Environment & Natural Resources Office (PENRO) is backing the clean-up activity as part of the agency’s “River for Life” Program.
