The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is set to follow up with the Department of Budget and Management about the status of the P5,000 aid to typhoon Odette victims that remains undistributed, according to Rep. Edgar Chatto.

Chatto made the revelation during a radio interview over Newsmakers Ug Uban Pa on Sept. 7, 2022, hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.

Moreover, Chatto said he was told by DSWD officials led by Sec. Erwin Tulfo that the DBM has yet to provide information about the aid.

There are some beneficiaries in Bohol who are yet to receive the P5,000 aid from the government as promised by former President Duterte, reports say.

The DSWD data show that around 125, 946 Boholano families from 31 towns already received the cash aid.

However, there are still families in some towns who are yet to receive the cash aid nearly a year after the typhoon struck Bohol.

Meanwhile, Chatto also discussed the budget for the Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situation, food and livelihood assistance among others during a hearing with DSWD officials at the House of Representatives.
