The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Bohol delegation composed of scholars and graduates, headed by Provincial Director Engr. Winefredo B. Salas, bagged 1 gold medal and 3 silver medals during the 2022 Regional Skills Competition held on September 5-8, 2022 in Cebu City, a report said.
The participants from Bohol competed in the fields of electrical, cookery, welding and IT network system, the report adds.
John Lloyd Case from Provincial Training Center (PTC) Pilar proved his technical skill excellence in the field of electrical installation by winning the gold medal.
The other three Boholanos who bagged silver medals are Erwin Ibaoc from PTC Bilar, Sherwen Lloyd Manitas from PTC Pilar and Reymark Toting from North Coast Bohol Institute.
They showcased their laudable performance in cookery, welding and IT network system, respectively.
The skills tournament was participated by TESDA scholars and graduates from Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor.
TESDA Regional Director Engr. Gamaliel Vicente Jr., pointed out that this yearly event aims to improve and maintain technical excellence, to form a generation of highly skilled individuals.
He further asserted that this is an avenue to discover the best in their respective crafts to compete in international tournament.
