Two known tourist destinations in Bohol are set to be placed under rehabilitation.
The beach front of Alona Beach and the Chocolate Hills are going to be closed to the public soon for the purpose of rehabilitation.
Concerns about soil erosion at Alona Beach in Panglao town and the growth of vegetation around the vicinity of Chocolate Hills in Carmen town surfaced recently.
Reports say that the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office received the concerns of private lot owners of soil erosion at Alona Beach.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be tasked to find the best possible solution to prevent further soil erosion in this area.
It is also reported that the local government unit of Carman shall be the one in charge of the rehabilitation around the Chocolate Hills.
