Barangay Del Carmen Sur celebrated its Foundation Anniversary
on May 1, 2023. According to Balilihan Mayor Pureza Veloso-
Chatto (in photo), highlight of the occasion was the Search for Mr.
and Miss Del Carmen Sur organized by the sangguniang
kabataan of Del Carmen Sur led by SK Chairman Van Arcel
Luong. Gracing the pageant night were Board Members Benjie
Arcamo and Aldner Damalerio, Cong. Edgar Chatto’s chief of staff
Atty. Abel Damalerio and municipal officials. The mayor
congratulated barangay Del Carmen Sur headed by Brgy Captain

On May 17, 2023, Balilihan mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto
announced the Installation into Office of the town’s new District
Supervisor, Dr Clemente Intong by our distinguished DepEd
Superintendent, Dr. Evangel Luminarias. On this day, there was
also a turnover of records of the district by Dr Sarah Mortejo to Sir
Bundoy who is from Sikatuna and was previously assigned in
Loay District. He replaced former PSDS, Dr Sarah Tabalbag
Mortejo. Mayor Chatto said: ”To Sir Bundoy, welcome to Balilihan!
To Ma’am Sarah, thank you most sincerely for the support of the
district under your leadership in our various plans and programs
