The local government unit (LGU) of Tagbilaran is giving a sack of rice weighing 25 kgs. to each house, boarding house, and apartment unit in the city.
The city mayor said that the sack of rice weighing 25 kilograms each will be delivered right at the doorstep of each house, boarding house, and apartment unit.
In his Facebook post, City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II said, ”Tanan residential houses sa Tagbilaran City, tanan boarding houses with permit (dile per boarder), tanan apartments with permits (per uni) ang maka dawat depende sa gi declare sa permit.”
He then thanked all the people who have been helping him with his relief distribution efforts.
“Salamat sa mga Kapitan, Barangay officials, Barangay workers, Purok leaders, Casuals, Tanods, tanan Volunteers, and mga (Barangay Health Workers) BHWs.
Salamat sa tanan nga nag pa huwam sa sakyanan para mapadali ang distribution sa Barangays,” the mayor said in his Facebook post on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
He mentioned in the same Facebook post that the city had three previous waves of relief operations.
The first wave of relief packs consisted of 3 kilos of rice, canned goods, “bihon”, coffee, half a kilo of sugar; soap, and alcohol.
The city government also gave a sack of rice to each household, which was the second wave of relief operations.
Yap mentioned that in the 3rd wave, each relief pack consisted of a dressed chicken, a dozen of eggs, and five canned goods.
