On March 25, 2024, the Local Government Unit of Danao, Bohol, headed by Mayor Jose G. Cepedoza (extreme right), culminated the month long-celebration of the National Women’s Month 2024, highlighting the “Women Folk Dance Contest”. The culmination program paid tribute to all the empowered women, recognizing their contribution to the town’s development. Mayor Cepedoza said: “Daghang salamat sa kanunay nga pagpaluyo sa kalihukan Hon. Maria Celeste C. Lerion, SB Com on Women and Ma’am Carmencita V. Busalanan, President of the Women Federation of Danao.” The program was also graced by the presence of representatives from the Office of the Governor, Mr. Jun Flores; Office of the 2nd District of Bohol, Mr. Edgar Del Rosario; Cluster heads of DepEd Danao District headed by its Public Schools District Supervisor Ma’am Juvy D. Ayenza; PNP Danao through WCPD Aracelli Wagwag; SB members headed by Vice Mayor Albert Vitor; and all barangay captains/officials. Congratulations to the Folk Dance Contest winners: First Prize, Barangay Concepcion; Second Price, Barangay Poblacion; Third Prize, Barangay Nahud. Special thanks to the members of the Board of Judges: Ma’am Rosemarie Busalanan, Sir Chino Niño Busalanan and Dr. Reina Juno Sumatra. The culmination program also highlighted the Awarding of Single Mom/Superwoman from the 17 barangays of Danao initiated by Ma’am Dahlia Montecina, Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO). The mayor also said: “Congratulations to all the awardee Superwomen. Kudos to the staff of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Ma’am Chita Mae L.
