President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s satisfaction rating has terribly declined, while Vice President Sara Duterte’s rating has improved, according to the Bohol Poll 2025 survey conducted by the Holy Name University Research Center from March 6 to March 29, 2025.
The survey, which included 400 respondents from Bohol, showed Marcos Jr. with a net satisfaction rating of -43 in 2025, a sharp drop from -8 in 2024 and a steep fall from +61 in 2023.
The poll had a margin of error of ±5% for Bohol overall, ±10% for Tagbilaran City and the second and third districts, and ±7% for the first district.
The respondents comprised 100 from Tagbilaran City and 100 from each of Bohol’s three districts.
Marcos Jr. received negative ratings across all districts: -50 in the first district, -40 in the second district, and -35 in the third district.
Tagbilaran City gave him the lowest rating at -61.
Among age groups, the 30-39 bracket rated him at -72, while the ABC socioeconomic class gave him -62.
In contrast, Vice President Duterte earned a +67 net satisfaction rating in 2025, up from +62 in 2024 but slightly below her +75 in 2023.
Her highest rating came from the first district at +72, followed by +67 in the second district, +65 in the third district, and +58 in Tagbilaran City.
The 18-29 age group gave her a +80 rating, while the 50-59 age group rated her at +68.
The survey’s rating scale defines +70 and above as Excellent, +50 to +69 as Very Good, +30 to +49 as Good, +10 to +29 as Moderate, +9 to -9 as Neutral, -10 to -29 as Poor, -30 to -49 as Bad, -50 to -69 as Very Bad, and -70 and below as Execrable.
Other national surveys reflect similar trends for Marcos Jr.
A Pulse Asia survey conducted in December 2024 reported his national approval rating at 31%, down from 38% in September 2024, with disapproval rising to 34% from 27%.
A Social Weather Stations (SWS) poll from October 2024 showed a net satisfaction rating of +11 nationally, classified as Moderate, a decline from +20 in June 2024.
For Duterte, Pulse Asia’s December 2024 survey recorded a 69% approval rating nationally, slightly up from 67% in September 2024, reinforcing her strong performance in Bohol.
The Bohol Poll 2025 highlights a growing dissatisfaction with Marcos Jr.’s leadership in the province, while Duterte continues to enjoy robust support.
