Authorities seized approximately P3.7 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City.
Police arrested Elwin Paredes, 49, a casual employee of the Calape local government unit.
Paredes, a resident of Barangay Calunasab in Calape, was apprehended after police detected his alleged involvement in drug trading in Barangay Manga on Sunday.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.
In a separate operation in Talibon, authorities arrested Virgiemae Lastimoso, 27, during a buy-bust in Barangay Guindacpan on Sunday.
Police seized suspected shabu estimated to weigh six grams, valued at P40,800. She faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
P1.5 MILLION WORTH OF SHABU, FIREARM SEIZED IN LOON
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit confiscated suspected shabu worth approximately P1.5 million and an unlicensed firearm during a buy-bust operation Tuesday morning in Barangay Talisay, Loon.
The suspect, Rich Carcallas, 38, from Barangay Cabacungan, Loon, was arrested after selling suspected shabu worth P12,000 to a poseur buyer in an operation led by Lt. Col. Jomar Pomarejos. Barangay officials and local media representatives witnessed the operation.
Authorities recovered eight packets of suspected shabu with an estimated value exceeding P1.5 million.
A .39 caliber pistol with two rounds of ammunition was also seized from the suspect.
Carcallas faces charges of illegal possession of firearms in relation to the election gun ban and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
CANDLE SUPPLIER ARRESTED IN DRUG STING OPERATION
A candle supplier was apprehended in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bohol on Monday.
The operation, led by agent Chona Egam and supervised by Ferdinand Kintanar, took place around 4:20 p.m. in Barangay San Isidro.
PDEA was supported by the Maritime Police and Tagbilaran City Police Station.
Authorities identified the suspect as Randy Ebardone, 43, a resident of Barangay Poblacion 2.
Officers seized suspected shabu estimated at 55 grams with a value of P374,000.
Ebardone will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
