For our Vox Populi issue this week, the reactions of the people gathered are about the following:

Issue no. 2: Question –  Ang Bohol Tribune, pinaagi sa Managing Editor, nakadawat ug message gikan sa usa sa mga magbabasa. Nagpadala usab kining maong magbabasa sa usa ka hulagway (tan-awa ang hulagway sa ubos) diin makita nga nagpunsisok ang mga tawo nga naghuwat sa ilang torno nga molihok sa ilang papeles s Land Transportion Office ug makita sa maong hulagway nga wala na gyud tumana ang balaod sa “social distancing” didtong dapita . Miingon kining maong magbabasa: “Asa naman ang social distancing ani. Kusog kono manakop ug mag backride kay wlay social distancing pro sa opicina sa LTO, tan.awa. Di ba dapat angay ni ireport. (The Bohol Tribune, through its managing editor, received a message from one of the readers. This reader also sent a photo {please see photo below} that shows people waiting for their turn to process their papers inside the LTO office. The photo also shows that these people who are waiting for their turn are not anymore observing the “social distancing” rule. The question of the reader is: “Where is social distancing here in the photo? They {the LTO} are very strong in apprehending people violating the “no backride policy” but there is no social distancing at the [vicinity of the) LTO. Look, is this not worthy to be reported? Who and What kind of people are they? Can the Covid virus not infect them? The Bohol Tribune also asked: “Who will apprehend these people?”

• Hello Maam Ardy. I noticed your post regarding a pic taken at Lto Tagbilaran District Office which wasn’t able to practice social distancing. I think one of the factors na naing-ana na is because gistop sa region temporarily ang new license sa Talibon nga nakahelp unta ug decongest sa Tagbilaran. Unsa man inyong hunahuna ani nga muna muna intawn sa ubang Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) ug hinuwat sa ilang torno nga mopauli unya nia ra man diay uban nga mga LSIs nga sayon ra ang pagsulod sa Bohol? Mao ni iyang gisulti sa netizen:

“Share lang ko ha. Among municipal disaster risk reduction and Management Office (mdrrmo) personnel nagsundo 2 ka lsi sa ubay karong palis. Tinga sila kay naa man laing 5 ka tawo nakisabay nila pauli guindulman kay kuno taga brgy canhaway sila nagdala pa service vehicle. Tua gihold sa amo chekpoint ky wala man sila sa lista nga moabot sa guindulman plus walay nakaila nila sa barangay nga ila gi claim nga taga adto sila.”

 (Is this true? We received this message from a netizen. What do you think about what this netizen has reported to The Bohol Tribune? Some LSIs are religiously processing their return papers to Bohol but this report from the netizen shows that for other LSIs, it is very easy to go “backdoor” as they return to the province. The netizen reported:

“I will share this with you. Our mdrrmo personell fetched two (2) LSIs from Ubay this afternoon. They were surprised because aside from the people they fetched, there were five (5) other persons who, like them, were driving to the direction of Guindulman. According to these 5 persons they are from brgy Canhaway. And these 5 persons were even bringing their own service vehicle during the trip. So, now, they are placed at the checkpoint’s holding area because the names of the 5 persons were not included in the list of those who arrived. Besides, nobody in brgy Canhaway knows them (the 5 persons.”)

• Upon receiving the report yesterday afternoon from Guindulman MDRRMO, I immediately called up the Chief of Police and reported the incident to BIATF Public Security Cluster, after investigation and verification by the local PNP it was found out that said the family did not coordinate with the LGU, brgy capt was also not aware, the van was intercepted at a national highway checkpoint and was not allowed entry, they were escorted back to Ubay last night were quarantined at the NIA facility in Ubay, they will be sent back to Bato,Leyte in a 1pm trip this afternoon, we will not allow illegal entry, BIATF member agencies will continue to work closely, the actions undertaken proved our systems in placed are working.
