“28 Years Later”
at Screenville Cinemas From Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire”) comes the third installment of the post-apocalyptic horror film series, following “28 Days Later” in 2002, and “28 Weeks Later” in 2007, “28 Years Later” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a medical research laboratory in Britain that wreaked havoc in the world in the first film. The virus is a virulent disease that transforms its hosts into the ravenous, fast-moving, zombie-like creatures. Despite the government’s attempts to contain it, the infection had spread rapidly.
Now, how much of humanity has survived? What happened to the original survivors in the previous films?
In this year’s sequel, a group of survivors are living on a small island where they managed to find ways to live among the infected. But when one man ventures on a mission into the unprotected mainland, he discovers secrets and wonders that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.

“28 YEARS LATER” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
