Earl Kenneth Tagaytay Pocot, a graduate of the University of Bohol (UB) College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, has officially secured full-time employment at Tokyu Hotel in Japan. His hiring followed the successful completion of the intensive training under the Student Internship Abroad Program—an international collaboration between UB and the Tokyu Hotels Group.
Spearheaded by University President Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol III, the University of Bohol has partnered with Tokyu Hotels Group, a prominent leader in Japan’s hospitality industry, to provide international On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunities for students of UB’s Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), qualified students gain the unique opportunity to train across the Tokyu Hotels Group’s network of establishments in Japan. The program offers comprehensive, hands-on experience in various hotel departments, equipping students with a well-rounded understanding of hotel operations and service excellence.
A key component of the program is its targeted recruitment strategy. Graduating trainees may receive employment invitations from Tokyu Hotels Group, reflecting the program’s goal to bridge academic learning with global industry demands.
