Bohol police provincial director Col. Joselito Clarito is saying that the Land Transportation Office (LTO) should be the one to manage the imposition of social distancing rules within its vicinity.
This was Clarito’s reaction which he bared in a radio interview over “Open Forum” hosted by Ardy Batoy and Dave Albarado on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
He said the problem of imposing the social distancing rules at the LTO has been a topic of discussion in previous meetings of the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (B-IATF).
On the part of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), Clarito already deployed police personnel to help the LTO impose social distancing rules.
“Pagdating sa mga tao na nag a-aply ng LTO registration at iba pang application, dapat ang LTO ang mag manage dyan po, mandato po nila yun,” Clarito said during the interview.
The issue stems from a tip provided to The Bohol Tribune that allegedly the people who are transacting with the LTO are not following social distancing rules.
The alleged non-compliance of social distancing rules is observed not only at the LTO but also near the office of Philhealth along J.A. Clarin street, reports reaching The Bohol Tribune said.
Even if Bohol is under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), social distancing rules remain implemented as well as majority of quarantine protocols or rules such as mandatory wearing of facemask, curfew hours, and the need to present home quarantine pass when entering establishments in the province, among others.
