Police arrest a drug suspect in Calape town following a buy bust operation, reports say. The operation transpired on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.
Reports identify the suspect as a certain Julius Collarte, 29, of sitio Lamac, barangay Bentig, Calape.
The suspect was arrested by a combined force from the Philippine National Police specifically from Calape police station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). The operation happened around 4:40 pm last Tuesday in sitio Tugas, barangay Sta. Cruz, Calape.
Authorities seized suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 0.28 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P1,904.
The suspect is reportedly now under police custody and the piece of evidence is forwarded to the Crime Laboratory for testing and verification.
Moreover, the suspect is facing charges of violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
