Mayor Ian Gil Garcia Mendez (backrow, 3rd from right) joined a successful coordination meeting on April 8, 2026, between DOST Region VII and LGU San Miguel, Bohol for Project SARAI-CeNTRO which aims to develop data-driven agriculture and help farmers through more accurate information about weather, climate, and crops.
This will be a big help to the community especially in preparing for sudden weather changes, preventing crop damage, and improving agricultural production. Through technology and data, it can provide better guidance on the right time to plant, harvest, and other farm decisions.
The LGU expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity and for being given an
Automatic Weather Station (AWS),which will help collect accurate and reliable weather data for use in its programs and services for the people.
