Mayor Alvin Uy (inset, lower right corner) announced that Baclayon served as host port for the SH Minerva operated by Swan Hellenic Cruise on May 5, 2026. The cruise ship anchored near the Baluarte while rubber boats transported 97 guests and some of the 113 crew members to shore. Visitors were greeted by performances from the Enigmatic Embrace Dance Troupe and the Drum Corps of BNHS. Mayor Uy commended the Baclayon Tourism Office led by Ms. Jeanevi Contessa Suma-oy for serving as the contact person and organizing the activity.
