For every mother who has given tirelessly, Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort has carved out a day that gives back.
Today, May 10, 2026, the resort joins the world in celebrating Mother’s Day, but does so with a distinctly Filipino heartbeat. They’re calling it ‘Adlaw ni Nanay: A Mother’s Day Special Celebration’ — a name chosen, as Bluewater Panglao’s Marjean Morgia explained, for its melodious tone in the local language.

More than just words, it’s a nod to the Filipino trait of respect and honor for mothers.
Morgia, along with Carl Hope Cavite of Bluewater Panglao, guested on the Newsmakers radio program to talk about the celebration for mothers. There, Morgia emphasized that the resort operates under one mantra: Amuma with Excellence. Amuma, the Visayan word for care, is not just a slogan. It’s the standard by which the resort treats every guest who walks through its doors, Morgia said. She added that the resort assures nothing can prevent the event from running as smoothly as expected. Customer feedback, she noted, remains a key mechanism to improve what needs to be fine-tuned.
From 11:30 am to 5 pm on May 10, 2026, Aplaya Restaurant will transform into a haven for mothers and their families. Cavite shared that the event features live entertainment to serenade the mothers. Beyond music, there will be fun games and activities where mothers can win amazing prizes. The event is open to all family members, Morgia said.

For those looking to join, reservations can be booked via phone or email. Interested parties can call 038-416-0702 or 0998-843-0262. Payment options include bank transfer, a Maya link for credit card payments, or the QR code for GCash, Morgia said.
The rate is P1,500 per adult person. For children aged 2 years old to 11 years old, the rate is P750. Morgia said the fee comes with a lunch buffet and the games at Aplaya Restaurant.

Riding the Wave of a Successful Easter
The Mother’s Day special follows closely on the heels of Bluewater’s Easter event, which Cavite described as a success. He saw a lot of young people and those young at heart enjoying the event. Morgia said the property was filled to the brim as guests came in to spend Easter at the resort. She said she was happy to assist the guests wanting to enjoy the property. She is happy to see people enjoying amid the crisis affecting the world, she added.
At its core, Adlaw ni Nanay is Bluewater Panglao’s expression of amuma: utmost care, delivered with excellence, for the women who give it every day.
