The Municipality of Batuan opened the Mayor’s Cup Inter-Barangay Summer League 2026, headed by Mayor Emmanuel Tumanda (inset, upper right corner), with athletes, youth, barangay officials, and sports enthusiasts competing in basketball and volleyball games. The activities were held at the municipal gymnasium with the different barangays playing the initial games with this league, the local government aims to guide youth away from negative influences and build confidence, leadership, and a passion for sports. The ceremony highlighted Batuan’s commitment to youth development, community participation, active lifestyles, and stronger resident bonds. DOLE Bohol Livelihood Specialist Conie Peligro and Livelihood Focal Person Jason Pondoc conducted a profiling of some Batuananons displaced from work and needed assistance, according to a post by VM Dodo Jumawid. DOLE made an assessment whether to provide them livelihood or TUPAD.
