Some love stories begin with a glance across a room. Ralph Suello Torrejos and Queenie Eloise Clarin Lustre’s began with a message across a screen.
It was August 2015 when their journey started online — two lives, two different worlds, finding each other in words typed late at night. By December, the digital became real with their first meeting. And on February 28, 2016, what began as curiosity turned into commitment. They were officially a couple.
Nearly nine years passed. Nine years of growing, of choosing each other through school, work, distance, and dreams. So when Ralph got down on one knee on November 12, 2024, it was not a surprise. It was a promise, finally spoken out loud. A romantic proposal that sealed what time had already written.
A Morning Dressed in Quiet Anticipation
The long-awaited day arrived with the soft light of a Bohol morning. The stunning bride, Queenie — a 29-year-old Business Administration graduate, current law student, and youngest child of Mr. Teofilo Lustre and Ms. Ester Gloria Clarin of Tagbilaran City — was transformed into a vision of grace. Marian Manigque & Ryan Sines worked their artistry, while a custom bridal gown by EJ Relampagos floated around her like poetry. Her entourage moved beside her in elegant pieces by Aileen Pasagad.
Waiting at the altar was the groom, Ralph — 34 years old, a Registered Electronics Engineer from Manga District, Tagbilaran City, who now serves as Cloud and DevOps Lead for DAI Post Australia. Looking sharp and handsome, he stood with the quiet steadiness of a man who had waited nearly a decade for this moment. Ralph, the youngest of four siblings and a proud twin, is the son of Engr. Arsenio Torrejos and Mrs. Nicefora Torrejos.
Vows Under Sacred Light
At 1:00 in the afternoon, the grand doors of St. Joseph Cathedral opened. Inside, candlelight met stained glass, and love met faith.
Rev. Fr. Johnson Galaura officiated the sacred Holy Matrimony, the space styled with lush blooms by Milag’s Floral Design. Church commentator Amabelle Millalos guided guests through each prayer and pause, while the PhilHarmony Singers lifted their voices until the rafters seemed to hum. And there, before God and everyone they loved, Ralph and Queenie exchanged lifelong vows — not as two people starting, but as two people continuing.
An Evening of Music, Laughter, and Forever
The celebration then moved to the Dagohoy Grand Hall at Bohol Tropics Resort, where the night was brought to life with lights, sound, and LED production by DRC.
Dynamic emcees Tita Don & Madam Reyn led an engaging reception filled with warmth and wit. Live music by Brandon Kail & Alexa set the tone for romance, before the energy shifted and the dance floor opened for an after-party driven by DJ Michael Durica.
It was a feast for every sense. Guests enjoyed a grand spread alongside special treats: wedding cake from Lola Lilia, lechon by Benie & Eveth, brews from Grind Zero Coffee, treats from Ursos Ice Cream, cocktails from Too Nice to Slice, desserts by Cake on Crate, street food from Taste of Aaradhya, classic taho by Arnulfo Caputan, and drinks from Aj Mobile Bar.
Every precious moment was captured by Vhince Chiu Photo, content creator Rouanie Matalines, and videographers Lumikula Diaries. Keepsakes and guest navigation were expertly handled by Bohol Megapixel photo booth and Worthy Crafts.
From morning preparation to the final dance, the entire day flowed seamlessly thanks to the precise management of Gloria Leodivica Ines Araneta and her team from “SMILE”, Philippines for the full wedding coordination and management — giving Ralph and Queenie the gift of being present, of laughing, of loving, without worry.
