“ALTURAS HOLDS ZUMBA FOR-A-CAUSE”

Hundreds of zumba regulars and enthusiasts joined the Alturas Pink Zumba Marathon fundraiser last Sunday, October 18, at the ICM, sponsored by the Alturas Group of Companies (AGC) through its Alay Marcela Foundation.

Just like the highly-succesful Pink Run 2026 last October 4, all the gross proceeds from the registration of the zumba participants will go to the 48 beneficiaries, mostly breast cancer patients.

AGC expresses its gratitude to those who took part in the said dance fitness activity aimed to help generate funds for breast cancer patients.

Meanwhile, the Alturas Pink Run 2026 was a big success with a total of 5,300 runners participating in the annual charity run also targeted to raise funds for breast cancer patients.

Last October 11, AGC also conducted Pink Bayanihan which helped spread awareness, inspire hopes, empower women, and save lives during the Alay Marcela Foundation Pink Bayanihan Ribbon Power Symposium held at the Island City Mall Activity Center.

Alturas eyes bigger Pink Run in 2027 to help more cancer patients

Ariel Fullido, spokesperson of the Alturas Group of Companies, talked about holding a bigger Pink Run in 2027, saying that more participants mean more funds to be given to cancer patients.

The goal of the Pink Run is to raise money to help cancer patients in their medical needs.

Fullido emphasized that cancer patients spend a lot on chemotherapy and medications in order to survive.

This year’s Pink Run attracted more than 5,000 runners compared to over 4,000 runners last year, and increased the number of beneficiaries from 35 to 48 patients.

Moreover, additional funds are taken from the Pink Zumba and Pink Bazaar, which will be added to the funds given to the patients.

The runners who participated went home with loads of freebies from sponsors, as seen on social media.

The runners posted on social media the loot they received after they ran in the race.

Fullido is happy to say that the participants were happy that they also went home with the goodies provided by the sponsors of the Pink Run.
