Gov. Arthur Yap reports that there are nine (9) new coronavirus disease (Covid)-positive cases following the release of a report from the Department of Health. The report was released to the governor on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
According to the governor, there are two (2) locally stranded individuals (LSI) from Bilar, two (2) LSI from Trinidad, three (3) LSI and one (1) authorized person outside residence,(APOR), and one (1) overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Tagbilaran City, who are all tested positive for Covid.
All mayors of the concerned local government unit (LGU) were informed about the new cases, Yap added in a statement sent to media outlets and also posted on social media.
The govenor stated that all of the new Covid-positive patients are already in isolation centers of their respective towns/city.
Currently, contact tracing activities are being conducted by the respective LGU health office together with the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
Also, included in the DOH report is the repeat polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test of a Covid-positive patient that remained Covid positive.
With the development, the total number of active cases in Bohol jumped to 32 cases and the total Covid cases in Bohol is now 99 cases, based on the data from the information cluster of the Bohol provincial capitol.
