“The provincial government has the situation under control despite the news that one repatriated overseas Filipino worker (OFW) tested positive for Covid 19 infection in the confirmatory test,” is the definite statement just issued by Gov. Art Yap.

He gave the assurance in an interview over Open Forum radio program on Wednesday, May 13.

In the same interview, the governor said that there is no need to revert Bohol to an enhanced community quarantine status from a general community quarantine.

Further, the governor assured the public that the protocol on the isolation of the one who tested positive is being strictly followed.

Moreover, the governor bared that the OFW with a positive result is currently isolated at the Royal Coast Inn, formerly Crabhouse Hostel.

This OFW will be subjected to a third polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test and will stay under quarantine.

The test result of the other OFW that earlier tested positive, turned out to be negative.

The one with negative result may be allowed to leave the quarantine facility pending some medical & quarantine procedures, the governor said.

Meantime, the governor said that the people should continue with our thrust of aggressive protection by practicing social distancing, mandatory wearing of masks, following the curfew rules, and avoiding mass gatherings.
