A Boholano is appointed as new Philippine ambassador to Hungary and other European countries.
In a report received early today, Monday, June 8, 2020, The Bohol Tribune learned that a Boholano is now the new Philippine ambassador to Hungary and other European countries.
The Boholano is Frank “Jojo” Revil Cimafranca of Tagbilaran, Baclayon and Dauis, Bohol.
Cimafranca used to be posted as a diplomat in England, Greece, Dubai, among others. He also used to be an assistant secretary at the Department of Foreign Affairs, the report added.
A lawyer, he has dedicated his diplomatic career in pleasing God, the Filipino government and people, the same report said.
Ardy Araneta-Batoy, the Managing Editor of The Bohol Tribune takes pride that in one of her visits to Dubai years back, she was personally visited in her Dubai station by then consul general to Dubai Cimafranca.
Batoy speaks well of Cimafranca who used to be her student in high school at Divine Word College of Tagbilaran (now Holy Name University). Batoy says that the young Cimafranca, in his high school days, was a consistent awardee in both the curricular and co-curricular categories. In fact, Batoy added, that Cimafranca, during his student days, grabbed the provincial champion award in declamation during the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Academic-Literary-Musical Competitions.
