Gov. Arthur Yap says the provincial government is waiting for the new directive from the national Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) regarding the quarantine status of the province come June 16, 2020.

Currently, Bohol is under general community quarantine (GCQ) until June 15, 2020.

“Duha ang pwedeng mahitabo: possible na ipabilin tang ubos sa general community quarantine o possible pod na e-downgrade ta ngadto sa modified general community quarantine (MGCQ),” the governor said in his welcome statement.

He delivered his statement during the media interaction on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Capitol building.

He added that whatever will be the IATF’s decision, the provincial government will release directives aligned with the national policy.

In the media interaction, Yap said that whether or not there will be a downgrade to MCGQ for Bohol, the general curfew from 9 pm to 5 am remains.

The governor also said that the use of the household quarantine pass will continue.

He added that the continued use of the household quarantine pass is based on the collective decision of the Bohol mayors.

In the next few days, the partial liquor ban, will still be in effect in the province, Yap revealed.

CHURCH OPENING

On June 14, 2020, churches and other places of worship in Bohol are allowed to accept worshippers up to 25% of the place of worship’s seating capacity, the governor announced.

The move is a trial run for the possibility that churches and other places of worship will be allowed to accept up to 50% of the place of worship’s seating capacity, Yap revealed.

However, the governor said, people are not allowed to congregate outside the church or place of worship’s premises.

The move to allow religious services has been cleared with the IATF, Yap bared.

ON RESTAURANTS AND EATERIES

The governor said that restaurants, fast-food chains, and eateries remain open for take out and delivery orders only.

The provincial governor hinted at the deliberate opening of such establishments for dine-in operations up to only 30% of the dining place’s seating capacity. The gradual opening of dining place’s for dine-in operations may start on June 16, 2020.

At the same time, all dining establishments need to follow minimum health standards, the governor said.

Moreover, the dining establishments need to get approvals from their respective local government units (LGUs), the governor bared.
