Gov. Arthur Yap says Bohol remains under general community quarantine (GCQ) and tags the Philippine Star news report that said entire Central Visayas is under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) as “fake news”.

In a Facebook post on Friday, June 19, 2020, the governor clarified Bohol’s quarantine status which remains as GCQ until June 30, 2020.

Meantime, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire clarified this morning on Teleradyo Cebu that Central Visayas is not under ECQ.

She said that she was misquoted by a national daily, The Philippine Star.

On Thursday, June 18, 2020, The Philippine Star reported in its online newspaper that the entire Central Visayas is placed under ECQ.

However, according to the monitoring of The Bohol Tribune, the report has been taken down.
