Another local transmission is recorded in Bohol. This time the Covid positive is a 34-year-old female from Sagbayan who is working in Bilar as a staff member of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). This lady tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid).

In a report, the latest community transmission case had no travel history to a Covid hotspot. The patient is not a locally stranded individual (LSI) nor an overseas Filipino worker (OFW).

Authorities say that it is undetermined where the person contracted the virus.

The report said that Sagbayan mayor Restituto Suarez Jr. and Bilar mayor Manuel Jayectin were already informed about the latest community transmission case.

The family and close contacts of the patient have been isolated, report says.

Meanwhile, Bohol mayors met at the Capitol and were given directives for stricter implementation of health protocols. They were also directed to look for an extra space to be used as detention facility to contain the violators of health protocols.
