It seems that even with limited personnel, Bohol police are not letting their guard down and are making sure that the violators of the different protocols imposed by local authorities are getting caught and face appropriate charges.

The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) reports that the total number of protocol violators in Bohol has reached 19,773 persons.

This was disclosed by BPPO chief Col. Joselito Clarito in an interview with The Bohol Tribune on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

The data from BPPO cover the period from March 16, 2020 to August 2, 2020, Clarito said.

Moreover, about 1,070 individuals violated the general curfew from 9 pm to 5 am.

Around 1,144 individuals violated the 24-hour curfew on minors, while 205 individuals violated the protocol on the 24-hour curfew imposed on senior citizens aged 65 years old and over.

It is reported that 3,559 persons allegedly violated the protocol on the mandatory wearing of face mask as there were 720 violators of the partial liquor ban.

On the other hand, around 10,414 persons violated social distancing guidelines and 2,661 individuals violated the rule on no motorcycle backrider.

The violators are charged for violation of protocol, according to Clarito.

CELEBRATION

Meanwhile, even if the BPPO is busy with various tasks, it still finds time to celebrate the 119th Police Service Anniversary.

The BPPO celebrated the Police Service Anniversary on Thursday, August 6, 2020 which coincided with the celebrations held at the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 in Cebu City and in the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame.

This year’s celebration of the Police Service Anniversary is different due to the concerns over the spread of the virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid).

The Police Service Anniversary is being celebrated by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to commemorate the establishment of the Philippine Constabulary (PC), which is the forerunner of the PNP.

The PC was established on August 8, 1901, according to information from Camp Francisco Dagohoy.
