The re-elected PMA GOVERNOR for Central Visayas

Dr. Kazan S. Baluyot, FPCP, FPCC (Internal Medicine / Cardiology) is the re-elected Governor of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) for Central Visayas. The Boholano Medical Doctor is the son of the  Philippine Gift of Life Foundation President/CEO, Fancy S.Baluyot and the late Atty. Manuel M. Baluyot.

Dr. Kazan, as he is fondly called, is also presently the president of the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP) – Bohol Chapter, past president of the Bohol Medical Society (BMS), member of the Philippine College of Cardiology and member of the Philippine Heart Association.

The multi-awarded Boholano physician is a graduate of the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Medicine and completed his fellowship at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and at the Medical City and was chosen as the most exalted brother of UP College of Medicine. 

He is a renowned resource speaker in medical symposia and conferences here and abroad and profound medical researcher. Dr. Kazan is also a consultant at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital and a visiting consultant at the Holy Name University Medical Center, Ramiro Community Hospital, and at Tagbilaran Community Hospital.Currently. He also holds a medical clinic at the Borja Family Hospital.

The PMA, which is the national umbrella organization of the Philippine Medical Society, is membered by 63,000 medical doctors in the whole country. The PMA Central Visayas region, of which the young Dr. Baluyot re-assumes his governorship for, is comprised of the provinces of Bohol (with 1 city -Tagbilaran), Cebu province (with 7 cities), Negros Oriental (with 7 cities), and Siquijor island province.
