Gov. Yap visits Cortes to distribute rice, contact tracing cards

Gov. Arthur Yap visits the town of Cortes to distribute the rice packs to the families there with the Bohol family tracing cards. The visit happened on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020.

The governor was accompanied by Cortes mayor Lynn Iven Lim, first district Board Members Ricky Masamayor and Aldner Damalerio. A representative from the office of Cong. Edgar Chatto, Mar Ebojo, joined the rice and contact tracing card distribution activities in the said town.

During the distribution, Yap explained to Cortes residents how the contact tracing cards work.

The card will make it easier for those conducting contact tracing to determine the close contacts of a person who turn out to be coronavirus disease (Covid) positive.

Rice and contact tracing cards reach Maribojoc

The rice packs and the Bohol family contact tracing cards reach the town of Maribojoc as the entourage of Gov. Arthur Yap reach the said town. The visit to the town happened on Sept. 10, 2020.

He was joined by Board Members Aldner Damalerio and Ricky Masamayor in the distribution sortie.

Maribojoc mayor Romulo Manuta, Vice Mayor Emelio Castilla and Liga ng mga Barangay president Wenceslao Rojas also joined the team from the Capitol headed by the governor.

The governor made seven stops in Maribojoc as part of his distribution activities where each family received a rice pack and a contact tracing card.

Gov. Arthur Yap is busy nowadays making different stops in several towns. He made 15 stops in Dimiao town to distribute rice packs and contact tracing cards on Sept. 9, 2020.

Each rice pack distributed has a content of eight (8) kilos of rice plus the Bohol contact tracing card. Each family in Bohol shall receive the rice pack.

In each stop in Dimiao, the governor was able to meet a cluster of two or three barangays in the said town. Moreover, the governor was able to effectively interact with representatives of 35 barangays of Dimiao.

During his Dimao visit, the governor was with Dimiao mayor Randolph Ang, the report from the Capitol says.
