Panglaoanons have a tangible symbol of the Yuletide season as evidenced by the giant Christmas tree and the Christmas lanterns (parols) that adorn the town plaza just within the vicinity of the town church. Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero and the local government unit (LGU) officials are shown doing the honors during the switching on ceremony of the lights of said giant Christmas tree and lanterns to usher in the celebration of the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas. Moreover, the Nov.28, 2020 activity marks the unveiling of the ten (10) entries to the Belen-Making contest participated in by all the barangays of the municipality.
