PGBh to provide health insurance, housing benefits to prov’l employees

The provincial government of Bohol (PGBh) is set to provide health insurance benefits and housing benefits to qualified provincial government employees.

This information was revealed by Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos in a radio interview over Newsmakers Ug Uban Pa hosted by Ardy Batoy and Chandymar Batoy on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020.

The vice governor said qualified provincial employees will  be getting health insurance benefits on top of the mandatory Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) coverage.

He mentioned that each qualified provincial employee is getting a health insurance coverage of around P75,000.

The benefits can be extended to immediate family members of a qualified provincial employee, Relampagos explained.

At the same time, Relampagos said the PGBh will start next year the housing program for qualified provincial employees who don’t have their own homes.

The provincial government allocated three (3) hectares of land owned by the PGBh in Cortes town and this space will be used for the housing project.

Moreover, the location of the housing project is adjacent to the area where the extension facility of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) in Cortes will be located, Relampagos bared.

Each employee who wishes to avail himself/herself of the housing project will get a 100-square-meter lot.

The vice governor added that the qualified provincial employee who will avail of the housing project will be paying the amortization via salary deduction. The deduction shall not exceed P3,000 per payment.
