Harold and Menaida’s love story started during their high school years.
Their courtship started in 2006 and from there, love flourished. On March 2, 2009,Menaida gave her “YES” to Harold during their JS Prom. On July 20, 2019 Harold proposed to marry Menaida.
Our bride is Ma Menaida Canda from Poblacion Sur, Batuan, Bohol. She is the fourth of the five children of Rizalino Canda & Elena Canda. Menaida is a Bank Teller and is connected with First Consolidated Bank (FCB).
Her groom is Harold Sumampong from Quezon, Batuan, Bohol. Harold is the elder son of the two children of Celso Sumampong & Rosalina Sumampong. Harold is an International Seafarer and has been working with Cebu Ace Maritime International Incorporated (CAMII) for 5 years now.
The Harold-Menaida wedding ceremony, which started at 1:00 in the afternoon of February 14, was held at Our Lady of Assumption Shrine Parish, Dauis, Bohol with Rev. Fr. Samuel Clarin, SVD as the officiating priest.
After the church ceremony, the wedding banquet was held at the Fortridge Pavilion, Koinonia Hills, Songculan, Dauis, Bohol with CIO Redefining Moments as the photo and video artists covering the event. Mayor Antonino “Dodo” Jumawid and Gemma Ogates of the principal sponsors’ group delivered the their well-wishes on behalf of the other principals sponsors.
Celso Sumampong & Rizalino Canda, the groom and bride’s fathers, respectively, shared their pieces of advice with the newlyweds during the reception program.
Suppliers of the wedding celebration included the following: Tito Leysonas, florist; Lister Dela Cruz and his team, hair & make-up; Zionist Men’s Choiras. the church choir; 10:31, for the cake; cocktails and dessert station, Wynna Aligam for the photobooth; Maria Lagura, caterer; Aileen Pasagad, outfit provider of; LV Transportation of Elvie Sarmiento for the bridal car; Alver Sumampong and Dianne Mae Canda, entertainment during the reception.
“SMILE”, Philippines handled the wedding coordination with its director, Gloria Leodivica I. Araneta (also of “SMILE”, Philippines), as church commentator and wedding reception master of ceremonies.
