Cong. Edgar Chatto announces that the equipment of the much-awaited Tubigon-based Dialysis Center of the Department of Health (DOH) through the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) is ready for installation.

The installation will be facilitated once the reserved room at the Tubigon Community Hospital will be ready.

DOH’s Chief of the Hospital Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) director Dr. Leonita Gorgolon gave an update to Chatto about the the availability of the equipment.

Gorgolon said that the supplier is ready to inspect the facility of the Dialysis Center to make sure it is ready for the installation of the vital equipment.

Chatto called Dr. Mutya Kismet Macuno to inspect the area with the Gallares Hospital engineering team in coordination with Tubigon Mayor William Jao.

DOH through the GCGMH and the local government unit (LGU) Tubigon, which owns the Tubigon Community Hospital, will soon agree on the terms regarding the operations of the Dialysis Center.

Tubigon is accessible to towns in the northwestern side of Bohol.  The new Dialysis Center will cater to more patients as they need not to go to Tagbilaran City for treatment.

The GCGMH Dialysis Center itself has a long waiting list of dialysis patients.

The project complements the plan of the Provincial Government to establish dialysis services in province-run district hospitals based on the announcement of Gov. Arthur Yap, Chatto added.
